Pacific University: New accelerated MSW program for healthcare

UNIVERSITY OF THE PACIFIC

Announces Master’s in Social Work (MSW) Program in Sacramento

University of the Pacific, a leader in health care education, is launching an accelerated MSW program in Sacramento to help meet the growing demand of the healthcare industry.  Classes will begin fall 2020.  This hybrid (online and classroom) program can be completed in 16 months (or 12 months for students with a bachelor’s degree in social work).

The MSW curriculum prepares graduates to provide compassionate and culturally sensitive client-centered care, use evidence to guide decision-making, and promote innovation and organizational change.  Students can specialize in mental health, aging, policy, and other health care areas in an innovative program that integrates simulation lab training, inter-professional education, and experiential learning.

The program is currently in pre-candidacy for accreditation with the Council on Social Work Education.
